Memories of Vincent David John

Ben & Barry HTV west Ask Oddie 😊

Young trouble

Vince and I met when we was 11 years old and was inseparable all through our teenage years from bottling up in the Gainsborough pub then staying up late with the locals on weekends ,to holidays with my mum and dad and living with us for 6 months so he could stay on the catchment so we could go to the same school . Weekends away doing motorcross riding my motorbike over the fields in Littlestoke too many happy memories to list . As we got older we went different directions but he was always there in my mind and heart .

I have known Vince for a while now and he is the reason I moved up the arcade! He even asked me to DJ at the amazing Fatboy Slim event that’s the kind of guy he was! Thoughtful and he knew it would give my shop a boost! I will miss our chats mate I will miss your way of involving & getting things done with skills xxxx Shared by Iain Longwell

My mate Vince

Vince and I met around 13 years ago, whilst working the bars for Refresh West. We hit it off from the start and became good friends. We drifted for a few years, like you do, but connected again after his diagnosis last year. I'm so glad I made the effort to see him in the art gallery. Although we used to voice note at times, it was wonderful to see him, catch up properly and give him a big hug. This photo is from that day.
Vince mate, you were a good egg and you'll be very much missed
Love

Always called him my little boy as I used to take him everywhere with me almost from the day he was born. I used to call in and take him round the block in his pram almost everyday after school. Used to take him to Chepstow races, Weymouth for the day and even when my mum had a dentist appointment I used to take him in his pushchair. I think he thought I was his 2nd mum even though I was only 10. Vince (sorry will always be Barry to me😄) has always and will always be in my heart ❤️ . I think his Mum and Dad always thought they had 4 kids I was there so much as well as being good friends with Brother Rich and Sister Michelle. Forever in my heart ❤️ xx Shared by Deb Bassett

Thank you Dear Vince

Even though Vince and I mostly knew each other online, voice message, pm, funny comments and updates. We shared many lovely messages and interactions over the time and they truly meant a lot to me. I will always remember his warmth, kindness and support. I’m deeply grateful that he embraced my art and gave it a place in his gallery.
I only wish I could have met him in person and given him a real hug. 😞
Sending you lovedones strength, love and light during this heartbreaking time. And Vince see you in the next life. 1Love
